   The human soul is innately disposed to acknowledge its Creator and turn to Him, especially in times of hardship.

   This innate sense is constant across nations and ages; what is so universal points to a firm reality, not an illusion.

﴿فِطْرَتَ اللَّهِ الَّتِي فَطَرَ النَّاسَ عَلَيْهَا ...﴾

The fiṭrah is an inner witness to the Creator; whoever returns to his pure innate nature finds acknowledging Him a self-evident necessity needing no proof.
