Mutual Exclusion & Divine Oneness

Multiple gods would entail the collapse of order

Logical premises

  1. 1

If the universe had two makers, each would be capable of an independent will in governing it.

  2. 2

Were their wills to differ, both could not be carried out; and if one prevailed, the other's power would be negated.

  3. 3

The universe's ordering upon a single consistent pattern, without disruption, testifies that its Governor is one without partner.

Quranic proof

﴿لَوْ كَانَ فِيهِمَا آلِهَةٌ إِلَّا اللَّهُ لَفَسَدَتَا﴾

Rational conclusion

The universe's order points to the oneness of its Governor; acknowledging a Creator entails acknowledging that He is one without partner.
