The Preservation of the Qurʾān

Mass transmission renders collusion in alteration impossible

Logical premises

  1. 1

The Qurʾān was transmitted by mass narration, memorised in hearts and written in lines, in every generation by a body too large to have colluded upon falsehood.

  2. 2

A text preserved in this manner cannot admit hidden addition or omission, for the divergence of transmitters across regions would expose it.

Quranic proof

﴿إِنَّا نَحْنُ نَزَّلْنَا الذِّكْرَ وَإِنَّا لَهُ لَحَافِظُونَ﴾

Rational conclusion

Mass transmission therefore indicates the text remains as revealed; what is preserved thus is fit to stand as an enduring proof for mankind.
