When does the time of the sunset prayer begin and when does it end according to the four imams?

Hanafi

It begins with the setting of the sun's disc and extends until the disappearance of the red twilight.

Maliki

It begins when the sun's disc has set; its preferred time is narrow — just enough to fulfil its conditions and perform it — and its time of necessity runs to true dawn.

Shāfiʿī
